3. Options for extractionadd chapter
The ImageSuite offers four options for automatic extraction, they differ from each other in the form that either single pages or the whole order is extracted and that the original images are kept or discarded.
3.1 extract pageadd section
When extracting a single page (regardless if the image contains a singel or double page) you can select between keeping and discarding the original image.
Keep image
If you choose to keep the original image it will remain in the order, the extracted image/s will be added to the order and placed behind the original image.
This operation is useful to check the outcome of the ImageSuite operation, especially if you have activated the option insert control image into scan-order in the page-extraction settings (see below).
discard original image
the original image is deleted after the operation was performed, only the extracted image/s remain/s in the order, the operation resembles so to speak the manual page splitting and masking function in BCS-2 ® with the difference that it is automatic.
3.2 extract whole orderadd section
If you wish to perform the operation for the entire order it is again possible to choose if the original images are kept or deleted.
Keep original image
The original images remain in the order; the extracted pages a placed behind the respective original image. When you select this operation no intermediate images are created.
discard original image
the original images are deleted after the operation was performed, only the extracted images remains in the order.
