The error occurs due to graphics driver problems or incompatible OpenGL/DirectX settings. Particularly with RDP sessions, it is possible that certain hardware accelerations are not available or configured incorrectly.

First check whether the problem also exists with other remote maintenance tools such as TeamViewer, AnyDesk or VNC. These tools use a different method to enable image playback between the two clients and may therefore work better.

Possible solutions would be

1. update the graphics card drivers to the latest version.

2. if permitted, deactivate OpenGL/DirectX

If you only want to connect via RDP for a configuration change, you can use the Windows compatibility mode on the bcs2_v6.exe  by activating the functions ‘Run with 256 colours’ or ‘Deactivate visual designs’. Do not forget to deactivate the compatibility mode again once the configuration is complete.
